so…

this is the awkward part when i tell you what exactly you’re letting yourself in for by inviting me to film your wedding day, well, who exactly you’re inviting to film your wedding day…

i’m originally from south east london (& the poshest swearer you will ever meet), now living in staffordshire with my collection of spaniels & little person, daisy. i found my way to the midlands in 2007 to study a journalism degree in nottingham because i love meeting people & finding out their stories (basically, this is my professional way of saying i’m a little bit/very nosey - sorry). after working at the bbc straight after graduating, i then spent ten wonderful years as a secondary english teacher before being lucky enough to find my way back to my roots & become a full-time actual wedding video person in the summer of 2021 - and i’ve been having the time of my life ever since!

beyond weddings (i am genuinely obsessed with them), you will likely find me either planning my next trip to disneyland or being at disneyland. i do very much believe the world is out there to be explored - ask me about my filming trip to bali if you’re bored because i NEVER talk about it (actually read this as, i always talk about it and you will regret asking me) - although there is often a toss up between spending all my money on holidays or at sephora, zara or on my ever growing collection of birkenstock bostons (if you know, you know). i also order double carbs at lunch, never stop talking and i really REALLY love musicals. so basically, i’m quite loud and lively, but only until 9pm…i am over 30 now after all. x

am i the right videographer for you?

of course, i hope you’ve found your way here because you’ve seen one of my wedding films and thought it was alright (which is obviously an excellent start!). a lot of my couples share with me ahead of their wedding days that they’re a little anxious about being in front of the camera & ‘can you make us look good as that wedding you filmed, please and thank you.’ and well, duh, that’s what you pay me for right? right. but for me to actually make you look your most relaxed and authentic selves, it’s massively important to me that you feel that my approach to capturing your wedding celebrations is right for you as your wedding photographer & videographer play a huge role in your wedding day experience and the memories you make. you see, we’re with you more than any other supplier, and most of your guests for that matter. we will be right by your side at every moment and i don’t want to be a stranger or simply ‘the hired help’ for that reason (which is why i’ve pointed you in the direction of this page before my prices!).

i will be the right wedding videographer for you if…

- you’re up for making a new friend (ahhh FWENDS). when we build a genuine connection, that’s when you trust me and when you trust me, you’ll let your guard down and that’s when i can subtly swoop in and capture the way you touch each other, laugh with each other and love each other.

- you don’t want a wallflower approach. having me as your wedding videographer is something i very much see as an experience and i’m not someone who will fade into the background and capture you from behind the trees at a great distance like an episode of ‘planet earth’. in fact, what i do with my camera in some ways is the least important part of my job! i’ll be encouraging you to crank up the tunes in your preparations to dance off those last minute nerves, whooping at the back of the room when you’re announced as married, having terrible banter with your guests whilst eyeing up the canapes, offering cuddles when emotions get high and yes, i absolutely will have a glass of fizz if given the opportunity to!

- you’re invested in getting some banging couple portraits - i am telling your love story after all! i love working with couples who are up for high energy shoots that will channel the euphoria you’ll be feeling on your wedding day that will in turn create some stunning memories that your grandkids will be gasping at 50 years from now. we’ll be walking, dancing, twirling, lifting, giving cheeky glances and giggling to encourage you to move and interact with each other as i’m not the stuffy or formal type. basically, if you’re not willing to get your dress a little dirty, aren’t a sunset chaser or up for being a bit silly in general, i might not be the girl for you (and that’s totally fine, by the way!).

- you’ve booked a photographer who matches my style and approach. whilst i’m a lover and not a fighter, i work well with photographers who like to capture real moments in real time on prime lenses using natural light (flash looks terrible on video unless it’s on the dancefloor!) and are also happy for me to do a little bit of directing. please do have a chat to your photographer about how they work with wedding videographers - i’m often told i’m a ‘refreshing change’ - and feel free to send them my way if they want to chat more! if you haven’t found your photographer yet, i would really LOVE for you to look at my recommended photographers because we work well together and they’re my friends too (well, i think they are…).

i’m so lucky to have been doing this job long enough now that i am confident in my videography style and i want you to be sure that my approach matches what you want from the person you’re going to trust with capturing those forever memories. if you think we’re a good fit and you’d like me to be part of your wedding day dream team, you know what to do…
