it may be cliche, but it’s absolutely true that

wedding videography is an investment

weddings by their very nature are an expensive business & believe me, i know that videography isn’t cheap!

ironically though, it is also priceless - whilst it may seem like a hefty expense when you’ve added on all the other things you need or want for your wedding day, unlike your wedding cake that will be eaten, the flowers that will (sadly) die, and your outfits which will live out the rest of their days in your wardrobe, your wedding film - just like your photos - will always be with you. see it not as an expense for now, but an investment in your future - it really is the only way to bring your memories, and the people who were there at the time, back to life.

i know you’re probably eager to find out how much booking a rather lovely wedding film will set you back, but before we talk facts&figures, do have a read about what it’s like to have your wedding filmed by me to see if my approach & style matches your expectations for your big day.

rather lovely extras…

  • early arrival - an extra hour of coverage in the morning: £200.00

  • additional evening coverage (beyond 30 mins after your first dance) until 2200: £400.00

  • travel to weddings beyond 50 miles of my home in uttoxeter (st14) may be subject to additional fuel & overnight accommodation charges. i will include these costs in your initial quote so there are no surprises later down the line :)

got a question..?

  • i live in uttoxeter, staffordshire (near alton towers!). of course, i’m happy to travel to wherever your wedding may take me but if you’re more than 50 miles away, i will need to charge a little extra for fuel and possibly an overnight hotel for the night before if your venue is further than two hours from me. i’ll let you know any additional charges in your initial quote so there’s no surprises!

  • i’ll never say no to an adventure if i can make it work around my family life. let me know what you’re planning & we can go from there!

  • photography is a totally different skill to videography so i just stick to making videos! i’m lucky to know lots of amazing photographers who i love working with so feel free to pop over to my recommended suppliers page for more info!

  • i started off filming a friend’s wedding in 2017. i decided to put myself out there afterwards to see if anyone liked what i did and it just kind of went from there!

  • if i had a pound for every couple who told me that the thought of being filmed turns them inside out, i would be in the maldives right now, twice a year for six months at a time! trust me, if you didn’t feel awkward about being in front of the camera, you probably wouldn’t be human!

my focus on a wedding day is to make you and all of your guests feel at ease which is why i work entirely handheld and use natural lighting so it won’t seem like the bbc have turned up! a lot of people mistake me for a photographer for this reason (& everyone generally expects a photographer at a wedding) so i’m often warmly received and i’m guaranteed to get a few laughs when guests pose for me and then i break the news that actually, i’ve been filming them the whole time!

when it comes to your couples portraits, i work alongside your photographer (if you book one of my preferred photo people, then you can be sure we’ll work really well together so your time on camera is relaxed and, dare i say…FUN!) with short, snappy sessions to keep the energy high and romance factor to just right for whatever you’re comfortable with. think lots of walking, giggling, dancing, twirling & movement. nothing too stuffy and posed that feels unnatural - because that will show on the footage and that’s not the vibe we’re going for ever!

ahead of your wedding, we’ll have a catch-up to go through your plans and we can talk about your expectations for the day. i will always match your hopes&dreams, but i’ve been doing this amazing job for long enough now to know that the best wedding films are created when my couples are happy to trust in the process as that’s when i can capture the lovely natural shots you probably love my films for!

  • absolutely! your £200 deposit means that i’m officially booked for your wedding date - whoop! i always film the same amount of footage throughout a wedding day regardless of the package you’ve chosen so there’s always the option to upgrade, even after you’re married!

  • i’m so pleased to hear that! please do get in touch via the contact page to check my availability. i’ll then send you a booking form just to get some essential details about yourselves and your wedding for my records plus an electronic invoice for your deposit. i ask for an initial £200 deposit to secure your date with your final balance due four weeks before the big day! i’ll also send you a contract for your peace of mind so you know exactly what you’ve booked.

  • the main difference is the length! however, i also edit feature films with a heavier focus on the audio from your readings, vows & speeches to create a narrative of your wedding day. regardless of what package you decide on, i always choose ambient sounds from your day and licensed music from a range of libraries for guaranteed goosebumps!

  • a very common and fair question to ask, but i’m afraid not (sorry!). it’s all to do with copyright and very boring legal stuff. however, the good news is that there are some amazing websites that provide proper good licence-free music because of this reason and i pay a fair bit of money to have access to the very best tracks.

i am always happy to share these websites with you, but i do prefer for my couples to trust in my choices. i never choose the music for your films until your wedding day has happened as a huge part of my craft is selecting tracks that reflect the footage i’ve captured and the emotions of the day.

  • aerial footage can make for an epic addition to your wedding video which is why i’m delighted to offer it as part of all my video packages. safety is my number one priority with drone flying so i do ask that you have a chat to your venue about any restrictions they may have in place for drone use - chances are they will want to speak to me about it too & i can provide all the relevant paperwork if required. drones by their very nature are very sensitive creatures so please bear in mind that i may not be able to fly on the day if the weather isn’t just right. i will try my very best though!

  • yes! every package includes your full ceremony & speeches. i’m filming it all anyway, so why not? :)

  • i take bookings two years in advance and like most wedding suppliers, dates between april - september usually book up the quickest!

  • once your date is in my diary, i’ll leave you to enjoy the rest of your planning (but i will always be an email away if you need anything!). you will get access to my exclusive client portal once your wedding date is confirmed with me which is full of useful planning info and tips to make your film amazing! when there’s around ten weeks to go, i’ll be in touch asking about the timeline of your day so i don’t miss a moment. we’ll then arrange a video chat mainly so we can get to know each other a little better, to run through all of your plans for the day so i know what to expect & when and to answer any last minute questions you might have.

  • my ‘all day’ coverage varies from between 8 - 10 hours depending on locations & timings. i typically start the day with your preparations around two hours before your ceremony is due to begin. i’m then with you every step of the way right through to when you take to the floor for your first dance. after all the official bits are out of the way, i tend to stick around for 30 minutes or so to capture your guests having a jolly good knees up before leaving you to dance the night away!

if you’d like me to start earlier than two hours before your ceremony begins or stay later into your evening celebrations (for example, if you’re wanting to do sparklers or fireworks in the summer months), we can have a chat about my extended coverage charges :)

  • in short, yes please! it doesn’t have to be a full three course offering, but your venue will either be able to sort out a supplier meal or you can pop a tab behind the bar if you’re getting married somewhere with a separate restaurant. if you’re not able to provide a hot meal, i will leave the venue to find the nearest maccys which may mean i miss key moments. i like to use the time during your wedding breakfast to start backing up footage and getting ready for the evening shenanigans so it’s definitely much easier to sort something on site if you can - and please PLEASE don’t do speeches between courses. i will cry x

  • as i’ve been doing this wonderful job for nearly seven years now, i find that any footage captured more than two hours before the ceremony starts and anything around 30 minutes after your first dance doesn’t really make the cut. however, i totally get that you may have something special planned that will happen outside of these timings which you’d like me to capture.

whilst we’ll go through all of your timings in your pre-wedding catch up, extended coverage which requires me to be with you beyond these timings will incur an additional fee. i can provide one extra hour of coverage in the morning for £200 or you can extend coverage until 2200 for an additional £400.00.

i may not always be able to offer extended coverage depending on if i have a long commute or a wedding the next day so (especially if you’re having a wedding in the summer months) please do let me know if you’re planning something much later into your evening when you enquire so i can factor that into my diary and save any disappointment closer to the time.

  • i know that content creation for wedding days is now totally a thing and providing you pick a content creator with a complete ‘behind the scenes’ approach, i’m absolutely fine for them to work alongside me. if you pop over to my recommended suppliers page, i’ve pointed you in the direction of some amazing content creators i’ve worked with :)

although i have no issue with you adding a content creator to your wedding media team, please do check with your photographer too before committing to a booking.

  • the most important thing to me is that your film is crafted to perfection before you see it. i edit my weddings in order to keep everything fair, but i aim to provide your one minute social media highlight within a week of your day. you can expect to receive your full film plus the ceremony & speeches roughly three - four months after your wedding, but this may take a little longer during the peak wedding season. i’ll be sure to keep you in the loop though!

  • absolutely & i’ll be more than happy to provide all my paperwork if required!
